In the first week of steer clear on the 28/9/17 we had an introduction to what we would be doing and what to expect throughout the course, we also did a test at the end of the class so that the instructor would know how much information we knew. In the second week the instructor brought these beer goggles and when you put them on your sight is altered as if you had been drinking and we had to catch things and pick them up. We also went into detail about drinking and how it's not ok or safe to drive after you've been drinking and that the limit of drink to have in your system is 0 and if you get caught your license will be taken off you. On the third week of steer clear we went outside and learned how to change a car tyre and discussed everything that was needed for the process. We also learned that in the process of changing a car tyre where the appropriate place to put all the objects were. For example when you take the spare tyre out of the boot you should place it slightly underneath the car. In the fourth week of steer clear we learned about all the road marking and the signs. We learned where different signs should be placed and what each individual sign means. We also learned when you are able to drive in the hard shoulder and when you are able to over take a car and the risks of driving at a high speed. In the fifth week of steer clear we learned about everything under the bonnet and how you would fill up the water and different parts of the engine. When we came back in from seeing the parts we had learned about we talked about different situations you could be in when driving and he went through what we would do if ever in the situation. In week did we had a test on what we had done the week before when we had corrected that the we moved on to the reasons why we shouldn’t drive if we are feeling tierd and what are the signs of tierdness. We went through different situations that could happen if you aren’t fully consentrating on the road. The last thing we went through was tunnel vision which is basically another way to say always look straight ahead and be alert to what’s in front of you. Adter we went through that we did a test on what we had learned to see what we understood from the class. I have missed a few weeks of steer clear because of work experience butte still kept up to date because I've been watching the video that we got at the start of the course incase we missed one of the lessons.
